Fun atmosphere with really good bar food and a great trivia night. I would recommend anything on the menu... Especially something that is fried... More specifically their fries are addictive.
I'm not from this area so I had no idea what to expect. This place was great! I had a salmon blt which was phenomenal. Great beer selection and super friendly staff.
A nice, low-key spot for a great meal after a long day walking around Philly.
I really like Devil’s Den. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. Plenty of light and during the warm days you can sit outside on the patio which is really quite nice. If you’re going there try the duck fries. They are absolutely delicious. They have pretty good wings but they come in while wings. So it’s a bit messy breaking them away. It’s a great place if you want to stop somewhere and just grab a beer. They have a great selection. Definitely give this place a shot. You’ll like it.
Great food. Awesome wings. Nice fire in the winter and my favorite breakfast item, Shakshuka
Very nice staff and great place for late night food runs even though I shouldn't be eating at 12 in the morning! :P
Great food and the beer selection changes often - Great place! 👍
OMG the duck fries were AMAZING. I thought we were ordering fries fried in duck fat but when they came to the table and actually had pieces of duck in them YUM😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Top-notch selection that includes bottles. The fireplace is wonderful. I have only had a pretzel bun and hummus with pita chips from the food menu, and was not disappointed. The service has always been acceptable for how busy (or not) the place has been. There's been several times I walked in and out because it was crowded, but I won't hold that against the bar itself. My recommendation is just to go during slower times, and if you're also a service industry employee you can get a discount most days of the week.
Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere
I admittedly miss the Sausage Gravy for weekend brunch. But it consecutively gets replaced by as good or better. I love this place as its a part of our rotational drinking process. Try the gyro! The bartender, I think I remember his name as Chris, was so super friendly, soft spoken, and impressively knowledgeable about the on tap list, that our group was super satisfied, and unusually non bitchy about what they got. Kudos!
Solid bar, good atmosphere and actual fireplace.
I asked if they could put Dancing with the stars on one of the several TVs during the Eagles Monday night games, but it fell on deaf ears.
Relaxed approached for drinks. Many excellent courses with wine. Devil's Den is the best
Good food and drinks. Always go for the citywide special(?). Fries are banging.
My favorite place ever! It's cute, reasonable priced and has a good vibe about. Great food and drinks too. And the happy hour is great!
Great food, great service! Our server cut our food in half even though she didn't have to. Such a nice thing to do.
Best fireplace in Philly 🔥♥️
Very good food and location. Nice beer menu
Great local corner bar/gastropub. Excellent for weekend brunches
Duck fries to die for! Outstanding food and service, tasty craft beers with decent Happy Hour discounts!
Great neighborhood bar, solid selection of craft beer, decent service, food was good.
Great beer, great bartenders and amazing food definitely worth a visit
A great bar for artisan beer and great food. The beer flights are great. The fireplace in the winter is romantic. Staff is attentive and friendly.
I went to this place with my friends to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. This place serves the best beer and tasty food. We enjoyed a lot as this place has its own unique vibe. Everybody at this place was so happy and it was all a joyous evening. This place was amazing.
They are definitely a great beer bar but their seasonal cocktail menu is one of the best in the city. Kris is truly a master at the craft. Also their smoked pulled pork is amazing
Great rotation of beers. Solid food options. Good service.
I really like this place for the beer. they always have an amazing selection and there is always something for people who like beers other than IPAs. LoLI want to take a star off because they fry everything with the fried Chicken, so even the items which would normally be vegan are not. So as you might guess, as much as I used to eat here in the past, I do not anymore. The reason I'm *not* taking a star away is that the bartender was nice enough to point this out to me when I asked to be sure a dish was vegan ... he then took the time on a busy night to go through the menu and point out what was safe for us to eat. Nice guy!
Pretty decent beer list and menu. Some items stand out, others are a little blah. Great casual spot in the area.
Staff is great and food is great. Fries are really good.
Went for brunch and sat at the bar. The fireplace was blazing and it was wonderful on a cold and dreary day. The food was delicious (both breakfast and lunch other were ordered by our group) and the drinks were great. Would definitely recommend!
Devil's Den is a place I have only been to twice. However, both times staff was very friendly and helpful with various needs. They have a great selection of craft beer on tap and in cans/bottles. When I went, it was quiet, the women's world cup was playing, and it was a great time.
Great place for anything. Great food and awesome beer selection. Chris is the man!! Thanks for the great service and experience.
Very dim intimate setting late at night. Nice fireplace to set a cozy mood.
Be sure to try the specials, I've had Curry and Croquettes along with most of the normal menu and been pleased every time.
Nice brunch. Good food, didn't try any of the drinks. Great out door sitting area facing East, so it was very sunny in the morning. Great sevice too!
Nachos, Diablo mussels, fried cauliflower, salmon blt were all solid and very good. Good food, great beer list.
THE BEST! This is the definition of a home away from home bar, friendly staff and amazing food and beer selection. Also they have a fireplace in the winter and it's just perfect. If you go on a Tuesday you will be served by alyssa at the bar, she is great!
Decent food and pretty good beer selection. They took some of my favorite food items off the menu which is frustrating (bring back the Mac and cheese) but a lot of things there are interesting enough to try, and consistent enough to order again. i don't like duck fries, but they have those, and I know people that like em.It's a good place to eat. Parking is hit or miss... More often a miss. Having said that, I keep going back there in spite of that hassle.Give it a try.(5 stars if you bring back the Mac and cheese)
Great food, drinks and friendly service!
I would give the food 3.5 stars. It was decent. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, which is kinda hard to mess up. They did have very good fries. Some of the best I have had in a while. My wife had the Salmon BLT, which was good. A friend raves about the muscles in the curry sauce, which were good as well. Service tonight was not the best. Our waiter checked in on us only a few times, even though the restaurant was not super busy. We had what we needed, but we were not offered refills and had to wait an unusually long time for our check. Service can be pretty hit or miss, so I don't like to base my opinion of a place off of one situation. Overall, I would give it a second go around. It had a pleasant atmosphere, with an extensive beer list. I was not blown away by the food, but I wasn't disappointed either. Expect to pay about $13-15 per plate for dinner. Just as an fyi: They do jot offer a kids menu.
Love this place. Great beer selection, food and service. Highly recommend. 👍
Devil's Den has one of the best rotating draft lifts and happy hours in Philly, with half-off drafts from 5-7pm on weekdays. The food is consistently good, the service is professional, they have multiple large screen TVs if you want to watch the game, and they do weekly quizzo along with plenty of other events including many for craft beer devotees.
I wish to give this place a zero star if they have it. I hated it when this place have people sitting outside on the wooden tables and I just don't like it when people are staring at us everytime we walked through this place like they think they are giving a superior type of vibe almost like looking down on us. I wish they close this place down for good...
Excellent service and a pretty good option of beers and drinks. Also open in a very useful schedule for tourists
Great Food. Great Atmosphere. Amazing Beer List. Better Prices
Consistently like the selection of rotating drafts. Also, you can get picklebacks and pickled whiskey here!
Great little spot! The buffalo chicken sandwich was so good. Fries are perfect. Portions are pretty big. Drink menu has large variety. Definitely will be returning!
Two words. Duck. Fries. They are as amazing as they sound. Not a Coors light to be found; they serve up some of the best beer in the area. Their Sour Week is always a big hit. Cool atmosphere with artwork featuring the local neighborhood. Great place to hang out at the bar, or for a larger group to grab a meal. Weekend brunch is always a great choice too.
Great beer selection. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. The food was great especially the bacon chicken skewers and short rib empanadas. Nice friendly neighborhood bar feel.
